Whirl of Gaiety

Tony leaves for Hilton Head today at 11am, so I've got a list of activities for John and me this weekend, so that we are not stuck at home being cranky...

Thursday:
7pm: Juggling show at the Brooks Center or Sesame Street Live: When Elmo Grows Up at Littlejohn Coliseum

Friday:
5:30pm: Boo at the Zoo at the Greenville Zoo

Saturday:
all day? South Carolina State Fair in Columbia

Sunday:
1:00pm: Open house at the Geological Museum at the Botanical Garden

We'll see how it goes! I haven't told John about any of this, in case I poop out...

PS: You get a hundred million bonus points if you KNOW where the title of this post comes from... One hundred points if you can find it out... the Internet makes everything easy to find...

We now have two tickets (Twohy doesn't need one) for "Elmo Grows Up" at Littlejohn Coliseum tonight at 7pm!

Nice! Let the whirlwind fun begin!

And I have to admit that I don't know where the title comes from, but I imagine I should know...

You, Jessica, of all the family MIGHT know... but I don't hold it against you... you don't re-read "comfort books" all the time like I do...
Should I start giving hints?

Ok, it may just be that I don't know how to use the interweb properly, but I maybe will know where the title comes from once I get round to reading it...or if it's from some place else then, no, I wouldn't have known where it's from. But I'll wait patiently to see if anyone else gets it...

Believe me, if you don't, no one will... do a google search and read the top couple of results and see if you can figure it out...

i'm trying to figure it out...it seems to have something to do with 'Little Town on the Prairie' -- a book based on Little House on the Prairie...

BTW, i just googled the phrase and 'Screamin John' shows up in the search results! :)

oh, it looks like it came from a Charles Dickens book too: "All the year round, Volume 34"

Mine was the Laura Ingalls Wilder Book. But Charles Dickens is a definite bonus. Good work, Internet sleuths!

DVDs don't hold his attention for as long these days, and in some ways it's easier to go out, because it's easier to distract him. He doesn't whine as much when we are out and about, and it's the whining that's killing me these days...

I would love a review of these activities when you are done. Like, what happens when Elmo grows up? I am excited to learn! And will there be trick-or-treating at the zoo? Who is "boo"ing? You're weekend sounds awesome! One of our neighbors brought us tickets to go to a Christian Magician with them on Sunday. Nicholas is dreading it. I am calling him and "Illusionist," like Gob.

I mean I am calling the magician an "Illusionist." Argh! I hate typos!
