This morning John started to cry about how I poured his cereal wrong, or gave him the wrong combination of regular and honey nut cheerios, and I told him, "A Jedi wouldn't cry about Cheerios." He stopped crying pretty quick, not because he was trying to be a Jedi, but probably because it gave him something to think about...

That's pretty funny! I think you should test this theory and the next time he starts to cry, give him something else to think about...like how airplanes stay in the air or how our cells know what body part to be.
