SUP

That's Stand-Up Paddleboarding to you!

John and I went to Saluda Landing on Lake Saluda last weekend and took paddleboard lessons. Our instructor Jan of Upstate Paddleboard was great. He went over the basics of the board and paddle and then taught us how to get on and off the board, get up and down, and how to paddle correctly. It is pretty easy. It took about 5 minutes of paddling on my knees before I was ready to stand up.

We tooled around the lake for an hour and a half or so. It was a gorgeous day, but about 70 degrees so I wasn't interested in getting in the water, but John was and did get in. He said it was cold but not too bad.

After he got bored with rowing around, he got on the paddleboard with me. I paddled him and then he paddled me.

It's a lot of fun and now I'm saving up for my own. Especially since the weather is turning beautiful here and we have so many lakes around!

Yes. If I get boards by then, I'll definitely bring them.
It really is easy.

It does look fun! Great idea! I'm glad John was into it, too.

I forgot to ask where were Tony and Christopher?

Christopher had a birthday party. I wanted to do something fun with John, so we just did it!
