Mommy: Would you like another piece of cauliflower, John?
John: Yes, slightly larger this time.
It was only a moment in time, but I was there for it. Tony witnessed it, and here's a picture:

Whoa, that is AWESOME!!
One for the record books, for sure. Kudos to John (and his parents)!
I know. I just had to brag.
It's these tiny, infrequent victories in the face of every day challenges that allow people to have second children...
YES!! That is fantastic!!!
I totally get the feeling too. :) Brag away!
Congrats to all of u....Mimi
BTW, that is a peach-spinach smoothie in the martini glass. It was really good, but the dollop of yogurt I added was unnecessary and distracting.
We've been working to empty out the garage freezer so that we can defrost it, so I've been doing smoothies this week to use up all the frozen fruit I have collected...
Seriously, if you make smoothies definitely throw in just a handful of fresh spinach leaves. You can't even taste them.
Plus the puree setting on the blender makes all the difference.
I like how Christopher is holding some cauliflower, too - did he eat it?
Well done, Team Penna!
He took the obligatory "No thank you" bite. I think he wasn't into the marinade I used: yogurt, mayo, lemon juice, and curry. I sort of faked it from several recipes that said they were reverse engineered from the Melting Pot's yogurt curry sauce.
Mmmmm. Melting Pot. I can't remember the last time we went. Wah.
Of course, the corollary is that if I serve the exact same thing even one day later, there is still a significant chance I would get "Ew. I don't like it."
