Getting there

It was an exciting morning here. My overarching goal is to teach the kids to be independent, and John started reaching new stages this morning.
He helped me fold laundry, doing it with some degree of skill and not just throwing it all over the place as previously.
He buttered his own bagel.
He also helped me cut the tags for my consignment sale.

I felt a lot of joy about these things this morning.

Wow, he did a great job cutting those out.

And buttering his own bagel is amazing. He already knows how to make his own bagels using the breadmaker, so he's pretty much fully self sufficient. Time to move out!

I'll miss him... but we have a replacement lined up (Christopher, I'm NOT pregnant again!)

I love that sweet little hand in the photo! Good for you getting him doing things for himself. That will help him have great self-esteem!

I read the title to that post and was scared- head lice? pink eye? I'm glad it was just sand.
