Happy birthday, Christopher. Here's your cake!

Ok, so the main reason for this post is the awesome cake I made!
Tony took most of the pictures on his camera, so he'll have to do the official birthday party post.
Christopher is doing great, and we are so excited that we're moving into big kid-land!
Thanks to our babysitter, Nielly who had the right cake frosting tip to make grass!

How clever...looks neat!

Did the kids fight over who gets to eat the road and who eats the grass?! :)

Fortunately, since it was all four- and five-year-olds, they were just excited about the cake period...

(the happy birthday part is just plastic. I did get good bang for the buck. A little time, but it was easy, but the cars and topper made it look fancy and detailed.)

Congratulations on a job well done! I'll bet Christopher liked it a lot. Did he pretend to eat one of the cars? (Just my guess... :)

So.... what's the tip? How do you make grass?

It looks great!

It's called a grass tip or multi-opening tip. It's the one that has 10-12 little holes in a flat top.
I practiced a little on a plate. You have to move it up a little while you are squeezing so that it is long enough rather than short and fat like rosettes. (Don't I sound like I know what I'm talking about?!)
