For the baby book

One of Christopher's tubes fell out of his ear today.

So, how long were they in? Does he have ear trouble now or were they just working their way out? Leo has some and I don't really know how the coming out goes.

I think the theory is that the child grows and they fall out in the best case scenario, and that's when they don't need them anymore. Tony, in his youth, was the worst-case scenario. He had them twice, and the second time he had to have them taken out, which he compares to the pain of childbirth...
Christopher hasn't been having any ear trouble, but it's early days yet. I think they were in about a year and a half?

I went back to check the blog. He got tubes installed and adenoids removed on May 11, 2011. So he had the tubes just more than 2 years.

Interesting. I think the doctor said Leo could expect to have them in about 18 months.

I'm glad they came out with no trouble (so far) for Christopher. Fingers crossed that he doesn't take after Tony in that regard.
