Oh, no! I was hoping this week would be "sick free" for everyone. So far, Olivia has made it without hand, foot, and mouth. I'm sorry you didn't make it unscathed. Ugh.
I got a regular 10-antibiotic course, a "broad spectrum" antibiotic, and I also have to take a decongestant and rinse my yucky ear with peroxide (which is weird and not comfortable). I was supposed to get a steroid shot to help with the actual inflammation, but they were "out of it" at the doctor's office... of course! I should feel better after being on the antibiotic a couple days. It's not painful all the time, but it's definitely not fun having one side of my head stuffed up.
Ah! I know the feeling. It sounds like that's kind of what I felt before they tracked down the Meniere's. It's crappy. But I'm sure you'll definitely feel better once the antibiotics kick in...just know that it means that you can ignore things you don't want to respond to by pretending not to hear them...use that for as long as possible.
Having an ear infection as an dult sucks! I had a double one a couple of years ago and thought that I was going to die. I hope that you feel better soon!
