On our way back from Texas we saw a large fire on the side of the road...
Later on we decided to go just one more exit before stopping for gas. As you can see, we had 4 miles of gas left when we pulled up to the pump (note the "Range" in the upper right hand corner of the center display). It was a nail biter!
We had a great time on the trip. I mostly ate and shopped with my sister Jessica, Tony mostly watched the boys while I ate and shopped. We also did rock climbing, Tony got to see a rehearsal at the Dallas Theatre Center, I got to see "Bridesmaids" (Thumbs up), eat a bunch of Mexican food, play board games, and lots of Wii Party. It's always hard coming back to "real life" after our fun-filled Hornucopia's!
We laughed about your narrow call at the gas stop... then Saturday we did the same thing in the minivan! I think our family has always been 'gas gage challenged'!

ReplyDeleteNo kidding. We arrived back home yesterday afternoon and haven't done much today. Work tomorrow - fortunately it's only one day to the weekend!
ReplyDeleteAnd the food isn't as good - no mexican or BBQ...boo.
But it was great while it lasted!

ReplyDeleteThe other day we had another close call - this time our gas range gauge got down to 1 mile!
